This week, students will rotate stations as they review our big topics during literacy time (main idea, inferences, character traits, and text structures). I'll be doing our end of year assessments which help track the growth of students with their accuracy, fluency, and comprehension skills. In writing, we'll be writing reports from our reading of informational texts.
In math, we'll finish up our unit on measurement and have an assessment. We'll begin to review all skills in preparation for the end of grade testing.*** In social studies, we've studied how our national government is ruled by three main branches (legislative, executive, and judicial). Next, we'll focus on local governments (city and county). Students will gain an understanding of officials who are elected and those appointed in our local government They will also study data presented in pie graphs and compare and contrast the budgets for city and county expenses. ***EOG testing will be May 26th and 27th. Thank you for all you do at home! Amy Flowers [email protected]
