It's almost spring break!!! We can do this!
In reading, I've completed all my assessments for third quarter. For fun, students are collaborating to create their scenes from Peter Pan. Students volunteered to act, to design backgrounds, to make props, and to design costumes. Our goal is to be ready to perform on Wednesday afternoon! In math, students continue working on fractions. We'll concentrate more with equivalent fractions and comparing fractions. I'll give an assessment on Wednesday to get a quick check on how they're doing before leaving for break. In social studies, we will be looking at the regions of North Carolina and what they produce. Our studies will analyze natural resources as well. ***On Thursday, students are encouraged to dress up as a character from Peter Pan. On Thursday afternoon, all third graders will watch Peter Pan, the movie as we finish up our unit on literary classics. We'll also have an assembly at 9:30 to honor students with positive behavior. Thank you for all your support. Enjoy your break! Amy Flowers [email protected]
